About us

Buddha Banking is an initiative of Daan Koppen. Daan obtained a master in Physics at Delft University of Technology in 2002 and graduated as a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU) in 2007. After roughly 15 years of working in B2B companies and private equity he spent most of the year 2018 studying value creation and distribution of wealth. This theoretical journey was driven by his curiosity to understand why a beautiful system like capitalism that seems to perform reasonably well regarding creation of wealth delivers such poor results when it comes to the distribution of wealth. This website publishes the (ever-developing) insights from analysing capitalism in order to share, learn and continuously improve.
